In 1958 restoration work at Stonehenge was suddenly halted and the ancient monument was closed to the public for many weeks. Something had been discovered that was so astonishing that its very existence had to be kept TOP SECRET, a task assigned to the British Security Service, MI5.
A world renowned scientist, James Gordon, is working on a hush-hush project for the Ministry of Defence in London to counter the growing damage caused by solar storms. He and his wife have become close to the project assistant, Tom Brooker, whom they begin to treat as the son that nature denied them.
Tom has a brush with the police and has complications in his life that bring him face to face with the security services but he is not able to disclose any of this to James Gordon. He discovers that James also has some dark secrets that become the focus of an undercover investigation.
When a scientific experiment goes horribly wrong, Tom is badly injured and disappears without a trace. James Gordon is suspected of murder and manages to fool those around him as he starts his search for Tom. Meanwhile Tom finds himself alone, unable to contact any of his friends and having to live on his wits as he tries to keep away from the authorities and a ruthless killer.
STOP PRESS On 5 September 2014 President Barack Obama visited Stonehenge. It is not known whether he received a brief from MI5 about the secret history of the historic site.

I have just stayed up to 3:30 a.m. to finish reading STONE MESSAGE and what a great story it is. The first chapter seemed a little clunky but after that I could barely stand to put it down. It gave you enough information to guess where the plot was heading but enough red herrings so as not to spoil it. When you guessed correctly, it gave you a sense of satisfaction and when you didn't get it right it was even more exciting.I do not want to go into details and spoil your enjoyment. However with no graphic sex or violence and with plenty of likable characters, this book will be enjoy by all ages, genders and backgrounds. I look forward to his next book.

For some reason, possibly caused by my PC, I found it difficult to navigate through the downloaded "" device. IE
It was impossible to scroll to the "next" line without much to ado.
This has happened possibly only to me and my specific PC.
However, from reading the other reviews, I would highly recommend this book. Also, Peter Parfitt is a very eloquent speaker. One of THE very best. I am captivated by his diction, annunciating and speaking style(s). This tells me that this "gift" from Jesus, would only follow in any of his writings. I only wish I could purchase this in paper back fashion; so I would not have to fight "technology", which appears common to me, and very possibly only to me.
May this endeavor by Peter, be followed by many successes in the future.
If you have not watched his videos from the "New Brit Workshop" (on YouTube), please do. He is second, IMHO, only to Norm Abram from the legendary "New Yankee Workshop". And as many have indicated throughout the world, Norm is THE "king" of teaching using videos. Peter is not far behind. I cannot wait for each new video he makes.
May our Lord continue to bless this dear man with gifts unfold.

If you enjoy a little suspense then Peter defiantly delivers. He does a great job with character development. It took me almost to the end to figure out the story within the story. Well worth the price of admission. Look forward to another installment.
Very enjoyable. Best 99 cents I've spent in a long time! An engaging read that kept my attention and kept the pages turning without me actually noticing.... quality writing that makes me look forward to Mr. Parfitt's next book.
Yesterday afternoon I started it and read until bedtime. This morning after breakfast I finished it. That is a polished piece of writing and it makes me wonder if he has written any other books, perhaps under a pseudonym. A page turner. I hope to read more soon!
Time travel re-envisaged in a moving tale of a man's search for identity. From a most unlikely author known for quite a different calling.
I really enjoyed this book and found it hard to put down as I was quite interested in what was going to unfold next for the characters. Great development and I found the pacing to be just right. There's a nice little twist and it all wraps up neatly. I'd definitely recommend it!
I really liked the story and how it was told. Char development was done nicely, and the plot was well flowing. It started a little slow, but it all makes sense why in the end.
